What Is A Dead Heat Rule?

  • Updated

The dead heat rule states that when there are multiple 'winners' for a given market, your payout will be divided by the number of determined winners.

  • Example: You stake $100 to pay out $220 on Justin Thomas (+120) to win his golf grouping against Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka. At the end of the round, Thomas and Koepka are tied for the lead at -3 on the round. Your payout is divided by the number of winners, so the payout is now $110 ($220 / 2). If all 3 players finish at -3, the payout would be $73.33 ($220 / 3).
